Bavarian Damascus Army Officer Sword. WK&C (knight head) TM and distributor marked,
"Lorenz Stanko, Munchen". Hilt is in the style of the M-89 sword, only more delicate.
Has scroll engraving on the brass hilt. Handguard also shows a floral motif. Straight
crossguard with a plain front and back langet. Attached to the hilt is a Bavarian
Officer knot with two thin blue lines running down the side. Delicate "maiden
hair" Damascus blade features gold panels. On the obverse, the first small gold
panel has "Damaststahl" with a blue background and gold raised letters. In the
center is a gold panel with blue background and raised gold letters reading "In
Treue Fest". This is repeated on the reverse in the center. Near the top of the
blade on the reverse is "Eisenhauer" in a small panel with blue background and
gold letters. Distributor's name is on the spine of the blade in gold. Blade would
grade excellent++ with only a few minor dark spots near the bottom. Has its felt
buffer pad intact. Delicate steel scabbard is completely dent-free and retains
75% of its black paint. Has its scabbard ring intact. Exc. (11948) $1,695.
