Presentation Damascus Hessen Infantry Officer Saber w/o Scabbard. WKC (king and knight head) TM. Gilted brass hilt fittings. Lion head pommel features red eyes and filigree. Knuckle-bow and crossguard retain much gilting with only light age. Black sharkskin grip shows light wear with no damage and complete with tight triple wire wrap. Maiden-hair Damascus blade is etched with a dedication to, "P. H. Birhmann" with the date "30.6.05. Berlin". Surrounding the dedication panel of floral designs with much of the original gilting remaining. The same floral pattern appears on the reverse blade. Blade shows sharpening, some graying and pitting.
