Imperial M-89 Cavalry Sword. WK&C (king head & knight head) TM. Nickel-plated
hilt fittings show light surface wear and age to pommel, knuckle-bow and folding
handguard with Prussian eagle. Black celluloid grip shows light surface wear with
no cracks or chips. Plated, double-etched, quill-back blade measuring 31 3/4"
shows light surface wear, runner marks and some light gray shadowing. Obverse
blade features a small script panel with raised inscription, "Eisenhauer" (fine
steel). Black leather blade buffer pad is present. Steel scabbard retains approximately
85% of its original black enamel showing surface wear and crazing with several
small depressions. Nice example of a standard Imperial M- 89 Cavalry sword. Exc.
