Imperial Army Officer Damascus Sword. Early Carl
Eickhorn (back-to-back squirrels) TM. This pattern
Imperial sword is not shown in either Angolia's
new sword book or Collecting the Edged Weapons of
Imperial Germany. It has the "dove's head" type
of ornate pommel. Sharkskin grip with tight silver
wire wrap. Beautiful genuine "peacock" Damascus
blade with raised gold Imperial eagle motif on the
obverse blade, and a floral scroll design containing
the words, "Eisenhauer Damaststahl" on the reverse
blade. The spine of the blade provides the distributor's
name in raised gold letters, and "Mohr & Speyer,
Coln". Blade is bright, grades Near MINT and comes
complete with brown blade buffer pad. Scabbard is
completely dent-free, has been professionally repainted
and bears 100% of bright paint. Would be difficult
to upgrade this Imperial sword. Nice, genuine Damascus
sidearm. Exc++ (8007) $1,795.
